The Post Falls Dam represents a significant chapter in regional infrastructure development along the Spokane River in Post Falls, Idaho. It was originally constructed in 1871 by Frederick Post to supply power to a lumber mill operation. in 1902, the lumber mill was destroyed by a fire, but the dam remained largely undamaged. Washington Water Power Company (predecessor to present-day Avista Utilities) recognized the location's hydroelectric potential and completed a modern dam and generating facility in 1906. This sticker commemorates over 150 years of engineering achievement and the dam's continued role in the region's energy infrastructure. The Post Falls Dam is still used to this day to generate power and control water flow. Show your love for the area with this fun sticker designed to commemorate this cool piece of Post Falls history!
